My name is Jon Corres, I’m 31 years old, and I recently graduated with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. The funny part? I don’t actually work as a physical therapist today. Instead… I became what I like to call a YouTube therapist helping people solve problems through quick, helpful videos.
I’ve always loved video, but for years, I was terrified of being on camera. When I started YouTube back in December 2018, I made ASMR videos because it let me hide behind the camera. While other creators were eating giant gold-covered steaks, I was just sitting there eating a simple bowl of cereal.

Eventually, I realized cereal videos weren’t great for my diet or my confidence—so I switched to physical therapy content. But even then, something felt off. I was spending 8+ hours making a single video, getting barely any views, and feeling completely defeated. It didn’t feel scalable, and I knew deep down that this style of YouTube wasn’t the path that would change my life.
After trying so many types of videos that just weren’t working, I eventually noticed something surprising: the simple tutorials I uploaded the quick 1–10 minute ones were the videos people actually watched. They weren’t fancy. They weren’t perfectly edited. They weren’t scripted. But they solved real problems, and slowly, they started gaining views every day.
That’s when I realized something important: educational videos are one of the best ways to grow on YouTube. They’re evergreen, they help people immediately, and viewers search for them all year long. Once I understood that, I doubled down. I made more tutorials, and then I built a team to help me create even more. Each new video helped someone solve a problem, and that’s when the channel finally began to grow.
Over time, I built a full system a repeatable workflow that let me create tutorials at scale without burning out. That system eventually became the foundation of everything I do today.

Jon Corres – This is my personal brand channel. Here, I spend hours learning a software or service from scratch and then break everything down into a complete step-by-step guide. These videos are longer, deeper, and perfect for people who want to fully understand how a tool works.
Guide Nation — This is where everything started. On Guide Nation, we post quick and simple tutorials that solve everyday problems—things like how to fix a setting, use a tool, or understand a feature. We also compare physical products to help viewers decide what to buy. These videos are short, helpful, and built to give people answers fast.
Didasko Media – This is a completely team-run channel. My editors, writers, and researchers create all the videos here—mainly faceless tutorials on trending software and online tools. This channel is built to run like a system, providing valuable how-to content while giving my team full creative control.
